The Human Resources Model and Quality Management in a Bank on the Example of Bank in Poland.

Contemporary banks are standing before the necessity of the alteration of their structures taking into consideration in addition necessities of appropriate organizing of human resources management services, which are playing the major part not only in the process of the new solutions implication but also have the influence on shaping the real quality policy at the bank. In the article, a human resources model implemented in one of the banks acting in Poland, which was being written down in general model of the quality policy, was discussed.

The article deals about the task of human factor in quality management. The basic topics of meaning of human sources in quality management is education and modern form of employees education like e-learning which with the use of virtual environment and information technologies in combination with daily present form of study creates for students an alternative to gain as much available information as possible.

Protection from Hand-Arm Transmitted Vibration Using Antivibraton Gloves.

There are various ways of reducing the health-hazards of hand-transmitted vibration. One of the possible protective measures is the use of the anti-vibration gloves, but their effectiveness is still subject to discussion and many experts are questioning it. The procedure for measurement and evaluation of the vibration transmissibility of the anti-vibration gloves is given in ISO 10819-1996 and EN ISO 10819-1996 as well as in the National Standard HRN ISO 10819-2000. Due to the numerous objections on the testing procedure recommended by the above standards many researchers prefer field- testing. In order to assess the effectiveness of anti-vibration gloves of five different manufactures the Faculty of Forestry – University of Zagreb in co-operation with the public enterprise Hrvatske šume Ltd. carried out a field-testing. The paper reports on the testing results.

Today, about half a century since the appearance of psychologist Frederick Irving Herzberg’s book about employee motivation, scholars are still debating whether the author’s Two Factor motivation theory is a suitable model in research and practice. Author of the article argues in favour of the latter scenario, invoking research conducted in the period ranging 2003 to 2009, with over 1660 respondents polled. The article features recommendations on how to best apply Herzberg’s theory in the work setting.

The article deals with the principal wealth, which the organization has - the human potential and a constant battle to keep it. One of the most effective means how to obtain, maintain, support and constant encouragement of human potential is an effective and dynamic motivational program of the organization, created in many individual and company-wide dimensions. The motivational program should be part of each organization that appreciates its valuable human sources, and understands that the quality of manpower, its thorough knowledge and wise management have the biggest impact on the overall prosperity of the organization and in present it is one of the greatest competitive advantages of the enterprise.

There are many myths about relationship between age and performance, or age and abilities among employers, managers and even HR managers. It results in situation that number of organizations is not willing to hire older individuals or the older employees are first, who is fired if the redundancy is necessary. It is a witness of fact, that employers, managers and some HR managers often thoughlessly rely on myths, fashion or imitation of questionable models and they are not interested in mature and experienced people with stable behaviour, who are the most valuable components of human capital under conditions, when the physical elements of performance are declining and the intellectual part, experience, behaviour and commitment are increasing.

In the article are presented main factors of human resources development in Slovak forest sector. The paper presents current state of formal forestry education and a role of employers for human resources development. SWOT analysis of continuing forestry education in Slovakia is presented as well.

Factors Influencing the Risk of Occupational Diseases Occurrence in Forestry.

The analysis of selected factors influencing the risk of occupational diseases occurrence is mentioned in this article. Influence of injurious agents, exposure length, worker’s age of disease confession and job positions on occupational diseases occurrence has been analysed. This analysis has been done in the time from 2000 to 2007 years, within the economic activity (OKEČ) 02 – forestry, timber harvesting and related services. There were used the analysis, synthesis and comparison methods for the data processing and evaluating of results. Vibrations diseases and tick-born diseases have been evaluated as the most serious diseases, worker age group from 51 to 55 year as the most hazardous age, workers group with exposure length from 6 to 10 years as the most hazardous, feller’s work was evaluated as a most hazardous work.

The specificity of medical services makes, that character of the doctor – patient relation it is possible to determine as highly individual and private, it is going about the strict medical activities. Impressions and generated emotions in this phase have the biggest participation in shaping the patient's satisfaction. It was showed in the article that the professional’s form, his approach to the patient and the style of work was gathering key importance in the provision of medical services.
